Reach for the sky

Travelling northwards to our next campsite we stopped off at the 230 acre Aden Country Park just outside Mintlaw to give Bertie a walk. What a super area this is for all sorts of activities but our purpose was to enjoy a woodland walk, where we came across this huge spruce, so much bigger than those around it. Presumably it was one of the trees on the estate land of Aden House, built in the second half of the 18th century but now a ruin.

We are now happily parked up at another lovely small campsite near the coast and looking forward to more exploring.
