Morning Cuppa Ruined

A cloudy and calm day, warm too, and some bright spells but no right sunshine, we can still live with that.

A morning around the house, before heading to work in the airport, another late shift.  I was sorting through rush bags in the morning, so many going missing at others airports just now, and then on the check-in desk the rest of the day.  A busy day, and every flight in and out on time.  Walkies with Sammy, and then a lazy night on the sofa.

Broken sunshine this morning, calm and warm.  I finished my breakfast, grabbed my mug and headed out to the garden to sit a while, a relaxed morning was what I needed.  Others had other plans, and then they attacked, and with force.  It wasn't long before I had a swarm of midgies above my head, and they wanted food, me!  I lit a cigarette, which cleared them for a few minutes, but they won, and I headed back indoors.  The midgie swarms continued throughout the day, it is the season after all.  Some late summer blooms in the garden and that speck in my tea is a midgie, Houl Road, Scalloway.
