Ducks away

We went to the Duck Race at Riverside which conveniently is quite close to my daughter’s house. It was a charity event, raising money for the local community by enabling people to buy a ticket for one of the 4000 ducks that were released into the river. The people who backed the winning ducks got a prize. It was great fun. Needless to say we didn’t win anything but enjoyed seeing the ducks drifting down the river. Southern Water were there giving out freebies, doing what Graham called a charm offensive. They’ve got a way to go!
