Glenveigh National Park

Had a lovely walk this afternoon in Glenveigh National Park. This fantastic estate was created in the 1850s by a wealthy land speculator from county Laois, through the acquisition of several smaller holdings. It came into state ownership in 1975 when work began on the creation of a national park.

It is a truly magical landscape, with trails of various lengths to explore and enjoy.
