Under the Greenwood Tree

Dry and brightish today - did some work in the garden, or the greenhouse rather, in the morning, and packed up five separate packages to send some succulents to five people who had requested them on Facebook. I cut up a cardboard tube, wrapped the succulents in damp kitchen roll, put each wrap in a tube, sealed it inside a bag and put each one in a padded envelope. I wanted to make sure that they got to the recipients as soon as possible, so went to Tesco's after lunch to post them. "Post Office Closed - Bank Holiday". This was very annoying as it's not a Bank Holiday in Scotland!

Afterwards I drove to the Explorer Centre at Dunbeg to pick up Daughter One - she'd been meeting a friend there - and deliver her to the ferry terminal in time for the 4pm sailing to Mull. I was a bit early so went for a wander and took pictures of Dunstaffnage Castle, the boats in the marina with Ben Cruachan as a backdrop and others. But after all that I still preferred this picture of a lady and dog sitting on the grass, framed by a tree. I thought it had a Thomas Hardyesque feel about it, in spite of the clothes, dog lead, glasses and mobile!!
