Spot The Initials. Spot The Date.

This is the ceiling in the Dining Room at Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse. 

The initials are FS for Frederick Sharp and BW for Beatrice White. The date is 1905 and is the year that the plaster artisans finished the ceiling, approximately 18 months or so before the completion of the house.

Children seem to find the letters and numbers far more easily than adults.

Frederick has his initials and various dates displayed throughout. They are usually found on fireplaces.

I suspect that Frederick asked his dinner guests to find the letters and numbers when they were seated around the table.

Another busy day and many interested visitors asking a variety of questions.

The house was quite warm, because the humidity was high. 
Comments were made about the increase in fuel costs. It is becoming quite apparent that the increases will seriously impact on a very large number of the population.
