Visitors

Got a train to Dalmeny with Sands (formerly of this parish) and CanCarrier, in order to accompany them on a visit to Inchcolm. The haar was in at first, but it gradually burnt off and a lovely day developed. We did a brief tour of the abbey and the east end of the island before they got the ferry back to SQ - I stayed on in order to come home with D. The second boatload of visitors included a large party of Ukrainians, possibly recently arrived (very little English spoken). They seemed to appreciate the total peacefulness of the island (see extra), and before they left, gathered by the flagpole to display their own flag. You see The Custodian taking a group photo for them.

Back to Granton via Hawes Pier then a very splashy trip back eastwards, to a fish supper and an early night.
