Kiama Blowhole
Kiama is a peaceful and picturesque little town on the Illawarra coast of New South Wales. Sydney is within easy reach, and when headed there we sometimes stop here overnight instead of going on to a big-city bed. Tomorrow, however, we will be driving only as far as Wollongong, where we will rendezvous with Mrs Dominie's brother and her Dad. My father-in-law has had a good week at Limeburners Creek and around Newcastle, catching up with family and friends. Now it's time to go home with us to Batemans Bay.
My blip is of Kiama's main tourist attraction. When the seas are running right, the blowhole can spout a jet of water up to 25 metres (82 ft) in the air. It wasn't far off that today. For an idea of scale, check out the two people, near the top-left corner, climbing up to a lookout.
