The Morning After

So yesterday packing for a probable overnight stay at Moorfields, with all the imponderables of how it's going to go, what to pack? Dressing gown, change of clothes and camera of course.

Looking exceedingly bright here - not sure why. Yesterday's op was at 16:00 after which I had to keep my head facing down so's the gas bubble in my eye was pressing against the retina - exceedingly uncomfortable until eventually I was given a bed, but even then not what you'd call comfortable. Not a lot of control over my temperature, feeling either far too hot or far too cold. Not a lot of control over the contents of my stomach either. Eventually at 23:00 I was allowed to lie on my side and attempt to get some sleep. Suppose I must have slept a bit, but it didn't seem like much.

Anyway, enough of the self pity - the op seems to have been very successful . I was discharged with my supply of eye drops for the next month, I made my way home myself via public transport. It was meant to be Old Street, Finsbury Park & Home. It ended up Old Street, Kings Cross & Home. Not sure how I ended up on the underground as opposed to the overground at Old Street. Struggled to find my way from Kings Cross Tube to Kings Cross Rail. Found someone to read the departures board for me and then checked with the station staff that I was on the right train - thanks everybody, especially those at Moorfields.
