Baby willows
G has rooted willow cuttings from the allotment hedge to create another green wall in our tiny garden.
We already have a willow wall on one side of the garden, again grown from allotment-willow cuttings. The wrens, sparrows & robins love to perch in it, the blackbirds love to dig around below it, so we’re hoping they enjoy the extension.
Once established, we will weave the Falstaff apple branches in, making a willow-apple green wall. Nice :)
