Gulargambone
We spent the night in Dubbo last night (isbi’s birth place) and visited isbi’s sister Ms Peahen. North to Gulargambone this morning for the races but dropped into the town for lunch before heading to the racecourse.
This was the only establishment open in town and the sign outside said “tourist information”. That’s not all! It’s a coffee shop/restaurant, art gallery, library and museum as well as stocking antique furniture, children’ toys and women’s clothing. Their specialty seems to be ornamental galahs. I didn’t see any secondhand motorbikes.
I can recommend it to anybody who stumbles into Gulargambone in their travels. Lunch was good too!
