Worlds end

I was pottering along the river foreshore at low tide last night as you do. It was rather pleasant there with a view of Albert bridge under the arch of Battersea bridge. I had only a fox a crane and two ducks for company. The fox loped off and a flight of squabbling ducks came to land with a lot of splashing - in shadow too dark to see.

I had a job there one summer as a student carrying bricks. In those days we turned up at the gate of a site and asked if we could labour - we would usually get accepted after trying 3 or 4 sites - hey ho... h&s killed that good idea...
