Team Work
This morning we learnt how to take a very long timber beam and make it go through a small gateway, around a house and end up on the opposite side of the house. Our friends Pete and Ali have bought an older house and are now going to set about renovating it. They have done this ever since we met them when our sons were at kindergarten. It helps that Pete is a builder and Ali always needs a challenge. I wasn't going to ask if this is the forever home. Pete ordered the beam and it came earlier than expected so it has be stored out of the way while he builds the garage that it is going into. The fun part is it is manufactured in Richmond where we live and our neighbour Kim is a manager at the plant. We then had morning tea and caught up with each others news. Then it was back to the lovely daughters to pack up the kitchen. While encouraging her to recycle things I would five minutes later pick something out of the recycle pile and say I could use that at home and put it in my pile. Hopeless. The forester is cooking tea and of course I have packed all the things he wants to use. I hadn't thought beyond food cooked in a frying pan.
