The earlier parts of the day involved taking Mrs theWeir to work, playing drums (with a little help from the weeWeir), and a visit to the 'rents to catch up and look at some of my Grandad's memory box things. Including his certificate of cycling proficiency from the Scouts. Issued nearly 73 years ago. Wow.
