Padre Island, Texas..........

......................After the most awful rain and thunderstorm in San Antonio last night - people walking around in water nearly up to their knees - we awoke to blue skies and a temperature in the high 70's. Drove up to Corpus Christi - very warm - some heavy cloud but only a sprinkle of rain.
Checked into Hotel then up to Padre Island. Good to see and smell the sea. Saw this bird wandering in and out of pools of water - Anni knew what it is but she's got some sort of tummy bug and is now fast asleep and I'm not going to wake her to ask the name of a bird!!!!!
We were lucky enough to see three wild dolphins - I had not seen them in the wild before so was very thrilled!
