Tulbaghia
Another change in the weather today, cooler and a constant feeling of rain in the air which didn't come to much other than a couple of brief showers - until this evening. Light rain though so the garden will be happy.
I did some running around today, taking things back to shops, dropping things off in charity shops, popped into a friends house but the cricket was on.... Never my favourite thing at the best of times but don't tell my Indian friends.
This Tulbhagia I bought last year in Falkland Palace, apparently grown in Mary Queen of Scots garden there. Lol. I'm most grateful :-)
It's often linked with agapanthus and a member of the garlic/onion family it has a delicate scent of those to its leaves apparently it is sometimes called Society Garlic. The flowers have a much more pleasant scent. Originally from South Africa it gets its name from an 18th century Dutch governor. I'm not sure which particular variety this is but its growing well in its pots. I'll need to do some further research I think.
Art Quiz today, good luck all. 8/10 for me today some very lucky guesses.
