Sparkling Dragon

On International Dog Day Ollie dog and I spent much of the morning in our favourite place of the moment. It's lovely being on the lake bed amongst the bulrushes, a bit like being in a hide. I stood in the sunshine listening to the calls of green woodpeckers, juvenile buzzards and jays, the plopping of carp and clattering of dragonflies. I think this is a migrant hawker.
