The odd one out

I lifted the last of the carrots today. Not sure if one is a different colour or it was a parsnip seed that got into the packet. I will do a taste test when I cook them.

We were expecting R to call in past this morning after her trip to the vets with the kitties, but they were found to have flee debris and she was advised not to take them to any other houses until the treatment given has had effect.

The vet has checked them over and they are both healthy boys, 5 months old and weight about 2 kgs (although I wouldn’t have thought that they were that heavy). They are not chipped.

She headed straight home and will put more details on  the village Facebook to see if anyone’s looking for them.

We had a busy day. The weather was perfect for working outdoors and we got lots of jobs done. I had several short rests  at intervals to recharge the batteries.

I took a call on the house phone from the opticians, it is repeat test time. They are on the ball as I had thought that it was about time, but it hadn’t made it on to the ‘to do list’.

I’ve been tidying up the veg pots and things and get the feeling that garden is heading into autumn mode, but the weather is still in summer.
