Day 5 of Food Growing. Golden Courgette Flower

The Feast Day of St. Bregwine.
I took so many photos this morning, it was hard to select just one and as I use the laptop without Picasa to make collages, it is a difficult task. I did visit the food growing area and took photos of the pear tree, the runner beans and little herb garden, but the sun was so bright I was not impressed with the results.
This courgette flower was looking good in the sunshine.
I am delighted to have seen several small tortoiseshell butterflies and a family of five Red Admirals who are currently appearing on the same buddleia bush in the afternoons. It must be just the right weather for them, very sunny and not too hot. I have done 6670 steps so far, and will add to that before I settle down to some crochet while watching Monarch of the Glen on Drama at 2:20pm. I have watched the whole series a few years ago, and it is so lovely and set in beautiful Highland scenery.
Well, have a great time and enjoy your weekend. My daughter is holidaying in France with a few friends and the weather there is in the upper 20c. I long to get her photos. Last weekend they were in the Peak District, walking and climbing.
It is 19c here in Rishton and no more rain is forecast until early September, so my watering can is on hand.
