Life through the lens...

A rocky path.

Feeling rather tired after our 8 mile walk with the Pudseys, and then a slow drive home.

The walk started at the Swinsty and Fewston Reservoir car park. ( see map)
Walked up along the side of Fewston Reservoir and then up to Blubberhouses, on to the tiny Hamlet of Timble, where we stopped for lunch. Down to Nether Timble, up again and then back down to the Reservoir car park.

Perfect walking weather. Warm but dull. However the sun came out just before we got back, and we all enjoyed ice creams or lollies sat in the sunshine.

Some parts of the walk were quite challenging, especially the path in my photograph. After climbing over a wall stile, we had to walk up this rocky stream bed. Not sure how we would have managed if there had been any water coming down as it was quite difficult without any.

Two extras. One of Fewston Reservoir, which is quite low as you can see.
The other extra is some photos taken near Timble. Two very interesting old windows. One dated 1668. Lovely view of the heather on the distant moors. Walked through a field where hare bells were blooming.

Now recovering after having a very enjoyable pizza delivered from our local shop.

Think we will sleep well again tonight.
