Black & White

It rained this morning.  I stayed in and made a curry, Ann went out for a walk and to look at paint. I stayed dry!  

After lunch we popped out for a bit of shopping then went to the cathedral for coffee.  Unfortunately their coffee machine had broken, only filter coffee available.  We had herbal tea.

On moving back into the nave we saw the choir was setting up for a rehearsal.  I'm not sure which choir it was but the Worcester Festival Choral Society has a couple of concerts coming up in November and December, the latter being The Messiah for which we have tickets, so it could have been them.  Anyway we sat in the pews for a short while to listen to them singing, beautiful voices reverting in the wonderful space of the cathedral. 

As we were leaving I took a photo of the aisle leading up the centre of the nave.  The whole of the flooring in the place is black and white tiles, so an ideal candidate for today's Abstract Thursday hosted by Ingeborg, theme Black and White.
