Common Hollyhock

First time I’ve grown one. It was a tiny plug plant I got online, but I didn’t realise there would be contrasting colours and structure on the same plant. It seems unusual to me, but maybe they are just like this. Hopefully someone can tell me.

I picked up Janice this morning and took her on our walk in a small wood near Kilconquhar. Afterwards we stopped off at The Pavilion in Elie for a cuppa. We sat outside so Geordie could join us. It was lovely sitting in the sun watching the tennis players on the courts opposite.
