Felix
Felix is an elegant, intelligent fellow, always on guard, alert, and ready to spring into service, a hundred pounds of muscle and energy. Today Seth left town for a couple of weeks on the road, and Cristina was costuming a Dutch Brothers commercial, so I spent the whole day with Evan and Bella--and Felix--at their house.
Felix wants only one thing: to have his four people in one place where he can watch them and be sure they're safe. He isn't a sociable dog and isn't the least interested in pleasing anyone but his own four. He's not motivated by food. Other dogs are at best irrelevant. Affection and praise mean nothing to him unless it comes from his people, and he doesn't like to be petted except by them.
When his adults leave for work or his children leave for school, he slips into a worried grump. He tolerates me, but nothing is right for him till his four people are assembled again under one roof. I was able to get him to pose for a few photos, but he was subdued. He only wants to keep his four people together and safe.
