Peterhead bay
Hubby and I had lunch in Peterhead with his mum today in his brother's cafe, after which I headed off to work. It was a lovely bright afternoon, between the April showers, and I took the opportunity to stop at the Lido car park to admire the view that makes up today's blip. Peterhead bay is very industrialised now and plays an important part in the oil and gas industry but still attracts lots of caravans and motor homes to the sandy beach at the Lido site. You need to be a hardy chiel to cope with the cold wind that is almost always blowing there. It's not for nothing that Peterheid folk are known as "blue mogganers!" Today though it looked good and sparkly in the sunshine.
