An Evening With Val McDermid

Toppings of St Andrews organise special events during the year which feature an author talking about his or her work.

This evening Pat and I attended an Evening with Val McDermid who talked about her new novel 1989.

The event was held in the Episcopal church in Queen’s Terrace, St Andrews.

The extra shows the entrance to the Red House opposite the church. Note the door handle.

Val talked for over an hour and is a very entertaining speaker.

Of course, we departed with our signed first edition of 1989 which was included in the price of the ticket. A very good deal.
