childhood book

I loved this book when I was Helena'a age, so I loved The Six Bullerby Children by the same author (waiting in line to be read by her)

My day was very busy and I wish I was already in bed. After another sleepless night caused by little Al high temperature and cough I decided to call GP straight in the morning, I luckily booked an appointment @ 9.40am. That meant I had time to drop H to school, come back home, pick my poorly boy and drive him to see doctor, who was 20min overdue ... Anyway he's chest is absolutely fine, few glands swollen up and viral infection in the throat .. Well doctor said if the temperature won't go down in the next few days, I need to come back with him. He really looks tired from coughing and is sick of taking Paracetamol and Ibuprofen. I spray his throat with Propollis and give him home made syrup from onion (it's an old fashioned tincture/medicine, my grand grandmother use to make for us when we were kids, its basically chopped onions with loads of sugar, and because of sugar good, antibacterial things ooze out of onion, and that way syrup is created)
Then quick rush home to drop him off, quick rush to work (already being late), quick few hours spent working, rush to pick H & her friend from school, quick snack before heading quickly for H piano lessons, then quick rush to make H swimming lesson ...
At least I had some energy to do my usual 30 lengths while she had her lesson :)
Then while showering she tells me that one of her schoolmates is teasing her again (it well started in Reception, and carries on with different strength during the past few years, she is well bully and knows exactly when to do her evil talking, like telling H she is ugly and stupid, spitting in her face, punching her and telling her and other girls not to play with her, that girl really gets on my nerves). It was really nasty in Y2 and teacher was involved (not sure if her parents knows) and resulted in splitting them in two different classes, but bullying still continues. Hope one day this will end!
Well enough of my talking, but I needed to share it with someone, I feel better :)
