Rocking horse, Sherborne Museum
I'm in Dorset on a press trip with Ann Brady, which would be fine apart from the alarmingly bad British weather.
After a trot around the abbey and the Boy's School we retreat into the museum which has a nice collection of objects, who's relationship with Sherborne is often surprisingly tenous.
For example, I think I knew that Pliny, the Roman scholar discovered the magnifying properties of glass, however his relationship with Sherborne did not seem obvious.
Also the role of parasoles in French impressionist painitings was very important, however they were not invented in Dorset to my knowledge.
Nice rocking horse though.
