A first, yes first, dreadful I know, trip to a festival show last night. A dance show, easy watching, with banging anthemic tunes. Interestingly I came away delighted with the entertainment but equally pleased I hadn't been rushing to see much more this year.

A wander down the Royal Mile, through the Grassmarket and up to George Square for food. Great street food at festival time. I am reminded that this area is much more about the joys of outside drinking and late licences. It was the first year of festival that I can remember being outside at 9pm and not being cold or wet. Pleasant but best left to the young.
