It rained early this morning, so we started late today. I look after the gardens at a local church and they really needed some mulch this year. There has been no time to have a crew in there for a day so I decided to start picking up the mulch myself and we can do a little bit at a time. We did 2 sections of the garden today, plus I bought some sweep sand to put down on the brick pathway.

And my good news for today is....I am moving on October 1.

I finally heard from the owner today, and she sent me her nephew's phone number so I could set up a time to view the place. I called him and we met this afternoon. Other than the kitchen, the rooms are bigger than what they are here where I live now. I will likely get another desk that I can put in the living room, that is where I will want to spend most of my time. Lots of windows that look out over the deck into the woods. The cats are going to have fun, learning to run on carpet and learning to run up and down stairs.
I will likely have access to it starting on Sept 15. There is a single garage that I can use for storage plus an unfinished area in the basement.
Next step will be to find a new roommate.
I sent my landlord an email tonight, plus I taped a notice to his door. I'm not sure what he will say. I told him that a client has an unoccupied house on her property and she wants me to live there and look after the garden.
