Bathtime blues
I have blue eyes. Oli has green. Ever since we've been together we've bought "stuff" that matches our eye colour to keep it simple - blue toothbrush for me, green for him. Blue contact lens pot for me, green for him....you get the picture. We discussed at great length what we would do when the baby was born if it shared eye colour with one of us........ He has exactly my eyes. Down to the colour, the dark blue around the outside of his iris, the shape - it's weird seeing my eyes imprinted perfectly in his little face. Undecided what to do about the toothbrush situation at the moment.....any ideas? White?! Rubbish!
This morning we spent playing, mostly bashing things on the floor and laughing, twas fun! Then Fay and 18month old Amelie came over to have a nosey at some of her wedding photos. Noah loves children so was delighted with Amelie and even tried to steal her pink ted, not cool Noah, not cool.
Then I plonked him in my monkey mei tei and over we went to see Nanny. Seren was on the trampoline so we watched her for a while, then she dragged him around the garden here and here which was hilarious. We stayed there for tea, came home in time for bath time and had a record short feed and bedtime. The boy was pooped. His mother is too, so much so I'm struggling to type this.
The light was beautiful at bath time and I grabbed my camera and took this shot. It's a beautiful straight out of camera photo, my favourite kind! He was "singing" to me here, a few choruses of "babababa" followed by some "dadadaaaaaa" and then some "oooooooooooooooohs". Lovely voice, my boy xx
