Great Malvern - The Priory
Monday
It was the middle day of a 3-day trip to Malvern. My friend and I had a lazy and relaxing morning at the campsite. We have a perfect pitch with a view of the hills (see yesterday’s blip). It was a mizzly day so we decided to go for a late lunch instead of another walk. We went to a little cafe/restaurant called The Kettle Sings, where I’d been before. It has a gorgeous view all the way to the Brecon Beacons in Wales. The view was clear and still beautiful even though overcast. The restaurant has been in operation since 1928!!
After lunch we went into town and had a mooch around a few shops. It’s SUCH beautiful town, very hilly, with the Priory in the middle. The flowers have suffered in the drought but still looked amazing!
We had a relaxing evening back at the site, eating dinner outdoors and watching the sun set behind the Malvern Hills. Delightful!
