More babies
In our garden this time!!! A wood pigeon has been nesting in the hedge on the side of our drive. Mum has been sitting for what feels likes many weeks and last week we saw two tiny babies. The Hawthorne hedge is dense and prickly, so hard to take pictures. Today is the first time that we have seen the babies without mum and they have certainly grown. When mum is out of the nest she sits on the roof of the house across the road, keeping an eye on the situation. Dad sits on our chimney and coo’s, also uses our front garden for collecting bits and pieces.
We went over to feed the kittens this evening. S is away all week and R went off late afternoon for 24 hrs. It was lovely to play with them. We didn’t take Amber with us, but she was very suspicious when I got home, my skirt obvious had the scent of the kitties.
