Backblip 15th July 2022 Day 14 of our NC500 trip.

An early start form Kinlochewe, we took the first right after leaving the site to follow the signposted NC500 route, the journey to Applecross was a narrow winding road, up hill and down dale so to say.

We had a lovely lunch at Applecross, we then tackled the road to Lochcarron, very narrow steep and windy with lots of passing places, and mainly 2nd gear to the top over 2000 feet, then there in the even windier drop back down to Lochcarron and 2nd gear for engine braking this time.

We eventually reached our site for a couple of nights, passing Eilean Doran Castle which we will visit tomorrow. We were never so happy to reach the site at Morvich, and a well earned rest.
