Fort Michilimackinac

We toured the Colonial Fort Michilimackinac in Mackinaw City after driver across and back on the Mackinac Bridge. (We will be going over it Thursday on our next destination). The first extra is the scene from the parapet. It was an interesting history lesson.

We then walked over to the Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse. (next extra) We took the tour to the top of the lighthouse. There were 51 steps (3rd extra) to the landing then an 11 step ladder to get to the light. The last extra is the view from the top. Yes, that is the color of the water. It changes as the depth of the water changes.

I am grateful our friends are here so we can explore this area together. It is a first time for all of us.
