Furnace
Much of our site today has been unpleasant under foot; boggy and soft or this stuff; post harvest woodland. Every step here is a trip waiting to happen and you need to pace with great care. One advantage of this panel of recent clearance is of course that it open up fine views down to the sea. You can just make out Loch Fyne beyond the village of Furnace which is just hidden out of sight. I recall a novel by Muriel Gray of the same name, Furnace that is. It was a particularly gruesome read, a story about a truck driver in America who got involved in a rather evil
circle of people. However the name of the novel did relate to Furnace here in Argyll.
I have the same upload issues this evening in the digs so my words are a bit short again. We have another day at lower level tomorrow then we should be home in the evening.
