Yoknapatawpha Map
Yoknapatawpha was the fictional name William Faulkner gave to his Mississippi landscape, the setting of most of his novels. I’m enjoying reading the Snopes family trilogy at the moment. I was delighted to find this map he drew in 1945 showing where the stories up to that time are set. And do you agree with me that the central blob (the fictional town of Jefferson) bears a certain resemblance to a black cat?!
