Cucumber in the rain
This morning I went to Wrexham to pick up an order. The A5 was solid with traffic, swelled with holiday makers on their way to North Wales.
This afternoon there was a heavy rainfall which the garden really needs. It filled my water butt and I filled two buckets too as my attempt at clearing the gutter hadn't stopped the waterfall. I'll have another attempt when it's dry.
It's been a strange growing season, outdoor cucumbers and tomatoes have been good but the courgettes and runner beans have been really poor. I blame the extreme weather as both usually perform well.
