Still playing catchup with blips. This is for Abstract Thursday, though I realise it’s too late to be included.
Well we had storms and sheet lightning all night. The swing seat was turned over, the pool parasol (which we closed up before) was in the pool which is now full of leaves and dirt, the metal bike shed had its (locked) doors blown open, and plants and cushions were all over the place despite putting them on the covered terrace. The dogs were traumatised and peed everywhere, but the outside tortoises seemed invigorated and tucked into their greens today before chasing each other around.... I just put washing out and it's started raining again. It was so windy today that a plane couldn't land and had to go to Mallorca instead. The rain caused the sea to rise up to a metre, and streets in towns became waterfalls. Also hailstones the size of golf balls broke car windscreens. But now the sun has come out again! Global warming is real.
