The Last Supper
This morning I went to the churchyard where my parents' ashes are interred to see the memorial tablet which the stone mason installed last week. The church was open so I also took the opportunity of photographing the unusual reredos made of inlaid wood. It was created by a local lady, Mirabel Grey, between 1895 and 1900. It is of course a representation of Leonardo da Vinci's famous fresco in Milan and brought to mind seeing the original some 40 years ago.
