On the way .....

...... well, sort of.  We're slowly getting less disorganized.

It took all day of packing, juggling boxes, clambering up and down a step ladder to load the roof box.  And still we abandoned about two boxes worth of assorted stuff in the garage.  You can't tell from this photo, but the back of the car is stuffed - no visibility through the rear view mirror.  W did the bulk of the packing, whilst I tackled the last of the cleaning.

We eventually decided enough was enough - with some judicious pruning and repacking we should be able to get the last of the stuff in, but we couldn't face doing any more today.  We drove over to our AirBnb near Leicester, and will go back on Tuesday to collect the few bits we left behind.  Not a hugely satisfactory situation, but the best we could manage.

A brief stop en route to get a drink and sandwich.  And at 2100 we reached our lovely spacious self-contained apartment, with plenty of room to unload the car and spend some time doing more sorting, so that the last couple of boxes of stuff can actually travel with us to Ireland in two weeks time.
