Street Party

A busy day with the allotment AGM-a good meeting with all posts now filled. 
 Later on there was a super street party at the bottom of our road-everyone was welcoming and very chatty. 
 Then in the evening a visit to the book festival for Beyond the Swelkie: a tribute to George Mackay Brown.  It was a poignant and emotional tribute to Orkney and an eminent poet.
Felt quite tired at the end of the day.
