Marsh Marigold

A few years ago now, I made my wife a pond in the garden for her birthday. She wanted a wildlife pond rather one full of goldfish and we have frogs and newts who visit, rooks and pigeons who bath there and fantastic blooms.

The marsh marigold is such a great shade of yellow, it makes the daffodils look washed out. In the sun this morning it looked great.
