TOYOTA BITES BMW

It's Motorhead Sunday and getting a bit close in Turn 3 at Road America is the Blip for the day.  It's World Challenge Weekend and we were treated to some pretty exciting racing.

Situations like this often lead to greater involvement and a lot of time spent cleaning up the aftermath. Some drivers just don't think about consequences when they try something foolish like a driver who decided to pass two competitors under a full course yellow and on one of the fastest straightaways on the track.  Just under the starters platform he juuuuust nipped one of the other two cars....and it caused a tremendous crash.  That foolish move cost himself the race and took out two innocent drivers as well.  EXTRA: Cleaning up the aftermath of that crash took the better part of 45 minutes as several of the Jersey Barriers had to be repositioned.  DUMB!

I don't know how many bags of oil dry were needed to sop up the mess but the cloud of dust that ensued when they blew it off the track surface reminded me of one of those desert Haboobs where clouds of sand obscure the view of everything as strong winds blow them into town.
