Giraffes

Long dog walk over Blackford Hill this morning. Nice to stretch the legs a bit.
In the afternoon we went giraffe spotting’ in the city. Went to the new St James Centre for the first time. Yeah I know it’s been open for ages. It’s clearly miles better than the old one but it all felt a bit soulless to me. Could be anywhere. And bizarrely some of the best views are where they’ve put the toilets. Strange.
The Royal Mile was heaving, as is normal for this time of year. What’s less normal is the litter. A few days into the strike and the city is overflowing with rubbish.
