Ghosts of Old Lennox

This house has been derelict and seemingly unoccupied for years. I imagine it was built in the 1950s or '60s, and is a classic simple beach cottage of the period. Few of them remain. Almost all have been replaced by stylish apartments. This house itself is worthless, but its land could be sold for upwards of $2 million.

For many years Rana and I owned a classic 1980s beach house overlooking the intriguingly named Mystery Bay (extra), one thousand km south of here. It was a generation younger than this house, but just as simple and unpretentious. We and countless friends got enormous pleasure from it over the years. Marriages were celebrated, friendships cemented, family bonds strengthened and deaths mourned. What times they were. I'm sure there are very many people out there who have similar feelings about this dilapidated but charming old beach house.
