Blacknose Valais

A sunny stroll down into Zermatt featuring a close encounter with a big flock of the local sheep. They’re very strikingly coloured. In town we reunited with our base manager, went for farewell drinks and meals, settled into a hotel with our hold luggage and generally relaxed. The rest of the group are off home after breakfast tomorrow but I’ve got a weekend in Zermatt to wind down and see some more mountains. It’s been a stunning, at times very tough trip. An over all sobering and sad to see at first hand the effects of climate change and loss of the glaciers on what seems to be an increasingly rapid cycle.
