What a dreamy day in Bishop’s Castle.

An early but slow start to the morning, drinking coffee with the tent open overlooking the Shropshire Hills. Hours of reading and writing and multiple breakfasts (and a dry tent pack-up) before heading down to Lucy’s accommodation in the town. We had a long and awe-inspiring time in the Poetry Pharmacy (third breakfast…oooops) and a wander around town before heading back to the Airbnb for more reading and tea-drinking. Back to town for the second hand bookshop before dinner at my absolute favourite pub / brewery, the legendary Three Tuns. Great food, greater conversation and the prospect (wooo hoo) of an early night.

I love action packed holidays but I equally love slow holidays full of good books and gooder conversation.
