New Lanark

A day trek was on the cards for today, but due to proximity of some cows and the nervousness of one of the riders, it became a rather shorter circuit. 

We went through woodland, along to New Lanark and along to the Falls of Clyde. Some lovely little tracks and pathways, with super scenery. 

I was riding Aria, who made it all the more enjoyable. She is such a responsive and willing little horse, an absolute delight to ride. She never puts a hoof wrong! Cows, trains, golf buggies, buses and a fire engine (no siren!)  - nothing phases her. 

We were back at the stable yard not long after after lunchtime so after a bit of a rest, I got a lift back into New Lanark to have a look around and take some photos. Brought back happy memories of being there several years ago with Mike and dear old Ollie.
