TALL

I went for a walk at Wynyard Hall walled garden where the cardoons seem to have had a very good summer. Everything else is looking a bit tired and autumnal, but still beautiful, and it was far too windy for most birds and insects. I treated myself to coffee and cake in the café afterwards, of course. I've sometimes found the food there disappointing, considering how pricey it is, but in the interests of fairness and open-mindedness I made myself order a slice of strawberry and passionfruit cake (new to me) and it was completely delicious! Recommended.
