Joux Plane and the TR4

A delayed start because of the rain. After an hour or so it eased off and so son-in-law James and I set off to ride up the Col de Joux Plane. It was a fourteen km  continuous hard climb to the top where on a clear day you can see Mont Blanc. But not today - we were shrouded in clouds (see extra). An exhilarating experience with lunch two km down in a little restaurant.

Back at chalet Nono, Frank (see yesterday) suggested we go for a spin in his TR4 down to his furniture showroom where he had an appointment with a customer. It is a beautiful set up ( second extra) and he made a sale so was happy.

It's my last day in the alps and so we are having a raclette fondue thing for dinner. Another example of French regional produce.
